PROJECT ACTIVITY-3
NIPER-G designed, developed & validated a 3D-printed three-layer antimicrobial face mask
to control the spread of novel coronavirus. Careful analyses of several resources for risk
measurement and on how viruses spread through body nasal cavities. Thereby NIPER-G
arrived to a solution to fabricate a 3D printed object to avoid further passing on COVID-19
transmission from one person to others.
Interesting Features: 1. It will possess triple-layer protections:
st
a. 1 layer will be anti-bacterial casing.
b. 2 layer will be sanitizing layer and reducing exposure of airborne particulates.

c. 3 layer will be medicinal layer to prevent extra microbial attack
d. 4 layer will be surgical mask layer to prevent direct exposure to medicinal layer
th
2. Airier for easy and smooth breathe.
3. Easy to clean the surface with the existing sanitizers or any alcoholic disinfectant.
