IMPACT AND HIGHLIGHTS of 2019-2020

The establishment of NIPER-Guwahati has given a strong boost to the promotion of
Pharmaceutical Education & Research in the North East India. Research efforts of NIPER
have revived the pharmacological studies on medicinal value of local herbs of North East
Region against various diseases. An Induction of three new centers namely National Centre
for Pharmacoengineering, BioNEST Incubation Center, Centre of Excellence Tribal Health
Care which reflects the growing reputation and the stature of NIPER among the students and
the Industrial counterparts. The current academic session started from temporary campus at
NITS Mirza, with sufficient space to support the Research and Teaching activities. All five
departments are taking progressive strides and moving towards accomplishment of Institute’s
short and long term targets. The Institute has entered into several MoUs with leading Research
institutes, Hospitals and Pharmaceutical Industries to give students and faculty the best of the
academic and research supports to eventually come up with technologies and products for
the benefit of the society.

The cumulative efforts of NIPER Guwahati family helps to secure Top 11th RANK In Pharmacy
by NIRF Ranking 2020.
