NIPER-Guwahati invites applications from highly motivated candidates for direct PhD admission for the 2025 academic session. Recognised as an Institute of National Importance, NIPER-Guwahati holds 12th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) pharmacy category.

The institute aims to become a Centre of Excellence in advanced pharmaceutical research, driving basic and translational human health studies. Eligibility Criteria

→ Master's degree (M.Sc./M.Tech/M.S. Pharm/M.Pharm) in any branch of Pharmaceutical sciences, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or any related fields.
→ Minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 in the qualifying degree [55% for SC/ST candidates]. For details please please check NIPER Ordinance.
→ Valid fellowship from CSIR-UGC (JRF), DBT (JRF), ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE, or equivalent programmes.
→ Candidates awaiting final results may also apply, provided they meet all eligibility criteria at Admission.
→ Note: GPAT/GATE and similar entrance exams are not considered valid fellowship schemes for this Admission.
→ Financial support, terms and conditions will be governed by the respective awarding agency and subject to nstitute policies.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years, with relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), Persons with Disabilities, and women candidates as per government norms.
